Comprehensive Holistic Reading Evaluation

 As educators, reading interventionists, and advocates, we understand how important it is to have an independent, unbiased evaluation that truly reflects your child’s reading abilities and guides meaningful progress.

Unlike typical classroom tests or school-based evaluations, our process is personalized and holistic. We use the CUBED-3, an extensively researched, evidence-based assessment tool that measures all key areas of literacy — decoding, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and oral language. This allows us to identify your child’s true reading level, strengths, and areas that need support — not just surface-level scores.

Our goal is to identify the root cause of your child’s reading challenges and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that can be used to guide support at both home and school. While school districts are only required to consider outside evaluations, our comprehensive report equips parents with the data, direction, and language needed to advocate effectively for appropriate services and interventions.

The full package — which includes the evaluation, follow-up consultation, and detailed report — is available for $500.

To ensure that your child continues to grow and thrive, yearly progress monitoring is highly recommended. Conducted three times a year — beginning (BOY), middle (MOY), and end (EOY) — this service allows us to track your child’s growth, adjust supports as needed, and ensure steady improvement. The cost for full-year monitoring is $1,350.

How to Get Started:

1. Complete the Reading Evaluation Intake Form and Contract
   Submit both forms to [email protected] at least 72 hours before your scheduled evaluation. Be sure to include the deposit as outlined in the contract. These forms help us build a detailed profile of your child’s reading history, learning style, and current challenges — essential for tailoring the evaluation and recommendations to your child’s unique needs.

2. Schedule Your Evaluation
   Click the “Contact Us” button to book your child’s Comprehensive Reading Evaluation session.
3. Evaluation Details
   The evaluation typically takes about 2 hours. If completed in person, travel time is billed at $40/hour in 15-minute increments, plus applicable travel costs (e.g., gas or tolls).
4. Receive Your Report
   Within 10–14 days, you’ll receive a Comprehensive Holistic Reading Evaluation Report with detailed analysis, individualized next steps, and recommendations for continued home and school support.
5. Once you receive your completed report, you may schedule a 30-minute Q&A follow-up session to review the findings, clarify next steps, and discuss how to use the results in your advocacy efforts.
