Ghostwritten Correspondences

Duration:
15 minutes

Expert Correspondence: Ghostwritten letters and emails are professionally crafted correspondence tailored to your specific needs, ensuring clear communication with your child’s school.

IDEA & ADA Compliance:
Each letter is written in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), reinforcing your child’s rights to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), requests for evaluations, supports, services or necessary accommodations.

  • Strengthen Your Case:
These letters are designed to ensure the district understands that you understand your parental rights, your child's right under the law, and their legal obligations. However, even with sound legal backing, schools may still resist, so persistence and self-education are crucial.
  • Empowerment Through PRISE Knowledge:
To strengthen your advocacy, it is essential that you familiarize yourself with the New Jersey PRISE manual. This resource details your procedural rights and can help you understand what to expect and how to navigate district responses. *If you receive a denial to a request, you are entitled to a Prior Written Notice (PWN). It is your formal receipt for their denial. Be sure to request one. Sometimes with this request, their decision and stance may change.
  • Self-Study Course Recommendation:
Consider purchasing the Wings2Learning Self-Study Course that pairs with app access. This will provide further knowledge and tools to advocate effectively, preparing you to handle district resistance with confidence.
  • Proactive Advocacy:
While the advocate can craft effective, legally sound letters, ongoing advocacy requires you to be informed. The self-study course empowers you to engage more fully with the process, ensuring you can stand firm in future negotiations.
